"The Brothers & Sisters Program" pairs a college student with a shut-in or more seasoned person in our church who needs help doing household tasks or simply needs a friend to talk to. It is an opportunity for our students to reach out in love to those who have given so much to our church and community in the past.

Two of Montevallo’s environmentally-conscious groups teamed up for a month-long project to raise funds for the restoration of the Gulf Coast estuaries which were damaged in the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The University of Montevallo Environmental Club and Montevallo First Baptist Church’s college ministry The Edge worked together to let people in the community know about the Crystal Clear Project which lasted from Sept. 13 until Oct. 15.
